The upper limit of election expenses was set at 6.4 billion MNT

Today Mongolian National Audit Office has announced that the upper limit of 2024 election expenses of political parties, coalitions and constituency candidates was set at 6.4 billion MNT. To be precise, the maximum amount of spending by parties and coalitions are 6 billion 434.5 million MNT, spending by candidates in the constituency is between 894.7 – 1,526.1 million MNT.

37 political parties registered in the Supreme Court were sent to 37 political parties on February 23, 2024 with the letter No. 08/232 to get the proposal for the maximum amount of expenses. As of February 27, 13 parties submitted their proposals. Based on these proposals, the maximum amount of election expenses was determined.

Mongolian parliamentary election will be held on June 28 this year in a mixed system. A total of 126 members will be elected to the parliament. 48 of them will be elected from party lists and 78 will be elected from constituencies.
